Dear Friend,

Welcome again and thank you for stopping by.  How about a brief introduction so you get to know a little something about us?

What is Orthodoxy?  You may wonder.  There are volumes written on it, but nothing comes close to experiencing it in person.  We invite you to join us on our spiritual journey of theosis: experience the true faith, learn about it and put it into practice.  Check the Activity Calendar for dates and times of upcoming events.

We hope to see you soon.

All glory and honor be to the One Triune God,

The Mission's Team

Join Us At The Lord’s Table

May the Lord bless you and your family in the New Year!

We at St. Barnabas are excited to start the New Year as we continue to bring Orthodoxy to Every Heart. We know that many of you may be on the fence with respect to Church; come worship with us; we would love to see you be a part of our family.

God created all of us in His own image and likeness (Gen 1:26). We are created to be in communion with Him; to be just like Him through worship, prayer, and service. He made us and He knows us. Being with Him as He has asked us to on the Sabbath (cf. Ex 20) is the least we can do to honor Him for another new year.

St. Barnabas Orthodox Congregation follows the West Syrian liturgical life as practiced by the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church. The Liturgy is adorned with incense, bells, singing, chanting, candles, standing, and sitting. It stems from the very first liturgies which were celebrated in the New Testament times. And when we partake in it we not only sit at the banquet table with Christ in the upper room but also receive the greatest blessing in this world, the body and blood of the Savior of the world.

We require your presence! One Christian standing in a room is not enough for worship. "For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them" (Mat 18:20). We are a community of faith that wants you to share in the same wondrous blessings that we receive every time we gather. This year, make it a point to fellowship with us, be in the Lord’s presence and taste and see that the Lord is good (Psalms 33[34]: 9)!

Yours in Christ,

Fr. Thomas
